Despite being a non-native Japanese speaker, Jyothika Cheerath has achieved remarkable success in the language. She claimed 1st Place in both the 2023 and 2024 MLTAQ Japanese Speech Competition at the Regional and State levels and earned 2nd Place in the prestigious 53rd National Japanese Speech Contest. As an IB Diploma student, Jyothika excelled in Japanese B Higher Level (HL) and received an A for her Extended Essay on Haruki Murakami’s literary works. Her passion for language learning led her to create Tabun, a platform designed to provide learners with practical resources and build confidence on their journey to fluency.
